Org. Setting and Reporting The Associate HR Officer (Organization Design and Classification) is responsible to the assigned Senior Human Resources Officer (Organization Design and Classification), and works closely with other ODC team members.
Responsibilities Conducts research, data collection, analysis and verification, preparation or updating of organizational charts and staffing tables and other related actions in support of management reviews and decisions thereof.
Contributes to the analysis of work flow processes and job evaluation, including revision of post descriptions and other related documents/forms, as required.
Maps new, or amends existing posts titles and grades, occupational and organizational units titles and locations in REACH system; reviews Requests for Post Actions (RPAs) and follows up with relevant staff in HR at HQs and the Fields, Budget Division and Information Management Department at HQA to ensure that due actions are taken in the system in line with the approved submission(s).
Updates Organization Design and Classification (ODC) Section’s site on the intranet and internal archiving system (electronic and physical files) ; uploads new post descriptions, organizational charts, and other relevant documents and attends to requests and queries from Fields and HQs accordingly.
Updates the work plan including the priority list of management reviews of the section regularly in coordination with ODC staff, and follows up on pending issues bringing deadlines to the attention of the respective staff member; prepares statistics and drafts reports as needed.
Is responsible for ODC library; keeping records of books and other documentary materials, as necessary.

Special Notice This is an internal job opening for the internal candidates working at UNRWA in Jordan.
Type of Contract: Fixed Term Appointment
Duration of Contract: 3 years including 1 year probation period, with the possibility of further extension, subject to the availability of funds, satisfactory performance and continuing need.
A roster may be created from the selection exercise, and successful candidates may become eligible for appointment to the same post or a similar post.
The incumbent may be required to travel in the Agency's area of operations.
