Expected duration This position will be contracted on a recurring 11-month basis (260 days per annum) requiring annual renewals which will be assured 60 days in advance of the end of their current contract.

Duties and Responsibilities THE ORGANIZATIONAL SETTING

The Air Navigation Bureau (ANB) in ICAO is responsible for providing technical guidance to the Air Navigation Commission (ANC), the Council and the Assembly. ANB provides technical expertise in aviation-related disciplines to States, industry and all elements of the Organization. The Bureau is also responsible for maintaining and implementing the Global Aviation Safety Plan (GASP) and Global Air Navigation Plan (GANP), including its aviation system block upgrades as well as producing yearly safety and air navigation status reports. The Bureau develops technical studies and proposals for Standards and Recommended Practices (SARPs), and Procedures for Air Navigation Services (PANS) for further processing by the governing bodies of ICAO and develops related procedures and guidance material. The Bureau also manages the Universal Safety Oversight Audit Programme Continuous Monitoring Approach (USOAP CMA).

The Multidisciplinary Priorities Programme (MP) within ANB is responsible for the coordination of multi-disciplinary priorities on Commercial Space, as well as other emerging modes of air transport across the safety and air navigation programmes. It provides an analytical service to the Safety and Air Navigation Capacity and Efficiency (ANCE) Strategic Objectives. MP is also responsible for iSTARS and other tools and maintains the ADREP database. The programme also assists the Air Navigation Commission in the development and implementation of its prioritization process and assists the Director of the Air Navigation Bureau in the financial management of the Bureau.

The selected candidate reports to the Programme Managers and will work within the MP to support the deliverables associated with innovation in aviation. These include events, web sites, working papers, workshops, and publications. The selected candidate will also be expected to work closely with the Strategic Planning, Coordination and Partnerships (SPCP) Office of ICAO who coordinates Innovation activities across ICAO.

MAJOR DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

Under the guidance of the Programme Manager, Multidisciplinary Priorities, the selected candidate will be tasked with achieving the following results: 1. Assist in all administrative matters related to supporting various innovation deliverables within the Programme, including by: a. Organizing and documenting internal meetings b. Collecting relevant information (including from external parties) c. Ensuring the material is shared in a timely manner d. Responding to internal and external queries e. Drafting correspondence f. Maintaining the related websites

2. Contribute to the deliverables within the programme, including by: a. Suggesting themes and content for the events b. Developing content for the workshop and publications c. Collecting and analysing feedback received on the various deliverables and suggesting improvements based on that analysis.

3. Coordinate and collaborate on relevant ICAO initiatives and campaigns requiring input specific to the Programme. This includes, but is not limited to: a. marketing relevant initiatives and campaigns in conjunction with ICAO’s Revenue Product Management (RPM) Section; b. high-level events in cooperation with the Strategic Planning, Coordination and Partnerships (SPCP)

Academic Qualifications: Essential - A first-level university degree.

Experience: Essential - A minimum of three years of experience in engaging with the aviation community, with a focus on new entrants. - Demonstrable success in supporting the development, testing and deployment of events, workshops, publications.

Desirable - Experience supporting global events. - Moderate-to-high familiarity with tools in support of online events and workshops.

Language: Essential - Fluent reading, writing and speaking abilities in English are essential.

Desirable - A working knowledge of a second language of the Organization (Arabic, Chinese, French, Russian, or Spanish).

Additional Information Please note that the monthly rate for Band A varies from C$ 3,991 to C$ 5,172.
