Morobe Development Foundation Inc. (MDF) is dedicated to promoting gender equality and empowering women in Papua New Guinea. The Foundation believes that understanding the psychological and socio-cultural barriers to female empowerment is crucial for creating effective programs and policies. This research is part of MDF’s broader initiative to address gender inequality and support women’s participation in community development and decision-making processes. MDF aims to advance SDG 5 (Gender Equality) by ensuring that women are empowered to take on leadership roles and serve as role models within their communities.
The current research project focuses on understanding the psychological foundations of women's empowerment. MDF recognizes that psychological factors such as confidence, societal expectations, and social perception play a significant role in shaping women's ability to participate fully in society. By exploring these areas, MDF aims to design more targeted programs that effectively address these barriers.
To that end, MDF seeks support from Online Volunteers with qualified expertise and experience in writing, data analysis, and data visualization which will be pivotal in shaping MDF’s research reports, which will influence policy decisions, promote sustainable development, and strengthen community engagement in Papua New Guinea.
