The Morobe Development Foundation Inc. (MDF) is an internationally recognised NGO based in Lae, Morobe Province, Papua New Guinea. We focus on youth development through dance, music, and drama while promoting women's empowerment and conducting environmental research in collaboration with international experts via UNV's platform. Our work directly supports the Sustainable Development Goals, particularly SDG 17 (Partnerships for the Goals) through our international collaborations and knowledge-sharing initiatives.
Our current website requires complete rebuilding to effectively showcase our community development programmes, research initiatives, and cultural activities to our stakeholders and international partners. A modern, accessible website is essential for MDF to amplify our impact, attract international collaborations, document our SDG contributions, and provide a platform for knowledge sharing with communities across Papua New Guinea and our global research network.
MDF seeks 4 skilled Online Volunteers to support us in rebuilding and maintaining our organisational website using GoDaddy's hosting platform. The new website must serve as our primary digital gateway for community programmes, environmental research projects, and international collaborations while ensuring modern functionality, accessibility, and user experience standards.
MDF Team requires support from Online Volunteers specifically on:
1 Online Volunteer for Website Development: - Architect and develop the complete website structure using modern web technologies - Ensure website optimization for search engines and performance - Collaborate with hosting provider (GoDaddy) to configure servers and domains
1 Online Volunteer for Front-end Development/ Design: - Create intuitive and visually appealing user interfaces - Develop custom graphics, layouts, and interactive elements - Ensure brand consistency across all website pages
1 Online Volunteer for Content Integration - Migrate existing content and organize new material - Optimize content for web presentation and SEO - Collaborate with MDF staff to gather and structure organisational information, including community development programs, research initiatives, and cultural activities
1 Online Volunteer for Technical Maintenance Coordination - Establish ongoing maintenance protocols - Monitor website performance and security - Coordinate regular updates and backups
