The WARN Training and Outreach Specialist will build awareness of the issue of human trafficking, WARN’s services, and WashACT through the development and provision of training and outreach; support WashACT’s work by assisting with task force meetings and follow-up activities; manage the onboarding of new task force members and annual task force membership renewal; and contribute to program data entry and collection.

Major Responsibilities:

- On behalf of WashACT and WARN, respond to requests for, coordinate, and provide training, presentations, and outreach efforts to community groups, service providers, law enforcement, and other interested groups to raise awareness and increase identification of victims of all forms of human trafficking from a multi-disciplinary perspective - Support team to develop collaborate approach to training facilitation - Maintain WARN and WashACT’s social media channels and websites - Produce WashACT outreach materials, including monthly member spotlights, website content, and task force reports - Coordinate regular WashACT information sessions: schedule and advertise the sessions and follow up with interested individuals about task force membership - Process WashACT membership applications and onboard new members - Coordinate monthly, quarterly, and semi-annual WashACT general and sub-committee meetings, including but not limited to arranging location, informing participants, confirming presenters, taking meeting minutes, and tracking attendance - Support WARN and WashACT data collection and reporting processes - Oversee annual WashACT membership MOU renewal process - Support WARN and WashACT administrative and operational activities - Take active role in local coalitions and task forces, as well as any other key local and federal agencies addressing human trafficking in Washington; understand and represent WARN and WashACT’s experiences with these partners - This position will work closely with IRC/WARN Program team, federal and local law enforcement partners, non-governmental organizations including direct service providers, community-based organizations, awareness groups, and legal service providers. - Other related duties as assigned.

Indirect Reporting: IRC Survivor Services Program Director Other Internal and/or external contacts:

Internal: WARN program team; IRC Anti-Trafficking Technical Advisor; IRC Finance Department; other IRC Seattle programs and departments

External: local community-based direct services partners and government, non-profit, and business sector partners engaged in anti-trafficking work

Job Requirements:

- Relevant degree or equivalent combination of education and experience - 2-3 years of demonstrated experience in community outreach, the provision of training to diverse audiences, and/or public speaking - Understanding of a human rights-based, trauma-informed, person-centered approach to human trafficking response and support services - Must be detail oriented with excellent oral and written communication skills - Must be comfortable in a multicultural environment - Ability to interact with diverse groups of people - Self-starter with excellent problem-solving skills combined with the proven ability to multi-task, prioritize duties, and manage time effectively - Ability to work independently to ensure proactive, quality performance of duties, as well as ability to work as part of a team - Comfortable working in high-stress environments; must be adaptable, flexible, and patient - Commitment to anti-racism and ongoing learning - Professional proficiency in English, both spoken and written, bi/multi-lingual ability preferred - Proficiency with Windows operating system and confidence in computer skills (word processing, email, data entry); willingness to learn new software and systems

Working Environment:

- Standard, professional office environment (flexible remote and in-office) - Access to a reliable transportation to travel regularly throughout the service delivery area - Position may involve evening and weekend work and travel

Posted pay ranges apply to US-based candidates. Ranges are based on various factors including the labor market, job type, internal equity, and budget. Exact offers are calibrated by work location, individual candidate experience and skills relative to the defined job requirements.
