Major Responsibilities ----------------------

Major responsibilities include, but are not limited to:

Warehouse Management

- Oversee the day-to-day operations of the warehouse, including receiving, storing, organizing, and dispatching goods. - Maintain accurate inventory records using appropriate documentation systems. - Implement and enforce warehouse safety protocols to ensure a secure working environment. - Regularly conduct physical inventory checks to reconcile discrepancies and ensure stock accuracy. - Coordinate with the housing team and other programs to plan and prioritize the supply pick up and movement of goods based on program needs. - Ensure timely and documentation is followed by program staff after donated goods have been delivered. - Monitor fleet movement at the warehouse, fuel needs, fleet access and transportation activities, including loading and unloading of goods, to ensure smooth processes.

Receiving & Distribution

- Receive and barcode inventory and manage disposition of assigned equipment per IRC policies. - Verify received items against purchase orders and resolve discrepancies or damages with suppliers. - Streamline the collection of in-kind goods and distribution, in collaboration with the direct service team and to meet specific program requirements and targets. - Organize and store inventory in a safe and accessible manner, adhering to best practice. - Label, organize, and track items, and ensure storage facilities are well-secured, clean, and properly maintained. - Oversee periodic physical inventory counts and record timely and accurate data. - Ensure accurate recordkeeping to account for and track incoming and outgoing inventory. - Provide accurate and up-to-date digital and physical inventory records for regular reporting purposes. - Coordinate the daily operations of donation storage areas, including receiving, storing, stocking, and distributing in-kind goods in an organized manner. - Observe correct stacking and turnover by implementing industry-standard procedures. - Collaborate with colleagues and members of the community to safely load, unload, and disburse goods in strict accordance with IRC and donor requirements. - Update tracking/management inflow database with asset information. - Receive and barcode inventory and manage disposition of assigned equipment per IRC policies.

Other

- Maintain vehicles and coordinate fleet management in accordance with established protocols. - Train and lead the activities of volunteers and interns, as needed. - Make recommendations for continuous improvement in inventory management. - Use personal, insured vehicle, an IRC vehicle, and/or public transportation (where available) to travel and transport clients and materials as needed throughout the service delivery area. - Participate in special projects as requested by the Deputy Director of Operations. - Other duties as assigned.

Job Requirements: -----------------

Education

Bachelor’s degree, supply chain management, or similar field strongly preferred. May be substituted with equivalent years of relevant work experience.

Work Experience ---------------

Minimum 3 years of related professional experience; preferably in a not-for-profit or other social services environment.

Demonstrated Skills & Competencies --------------------------------------

- Strong organizational skills and attention to detail, with the ability to manage multiple tasks and priorities effectively. - Knowledge of warehouse operations, inventory management, and logistics principles. - Familiarity with computerized inventory systems and Microsoft Office applications. - Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines in a fast-paced, dynamic environment. - Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work collaboratively with diverse stakeholders. - Fluency in English (both oral and written); proficiency in additional languages is a plus. - Commitment to humanitarian values and IRC's mission. - Fluent in English, both spoken and written. - Proficient in Microsoft Office applications (inflow, Word, Excel, Outlook); ability to use the internet and other digital tools for data entry, research, and problem-solving purposes.

- Able to lift 50 lbs. safely. - Valid driver’s license and access to a reliable, insured personal vehicle.

Work Environment: -----------------

- This is an in-person position and will be based and work at the warehouse. - Occasional weekend and/or evening work when required. - This role entails periodic meetings, carrying out the responsibilities outlined above, and represent the IRC with donors, partners, and vendors.

Compensation and Benefits: This position is a full-time, regular position scheduled at 37.5 hours per week, classified as non-exempt and eligible for overtime under state and federal law. Starting compensation is $25- $30 per hour, depending on experience and qualifications. We offer a comprehensive and highly competitive set of benefits.
