Frontier Tech Leaders Local chapters is looking for volunteers supporting communities who are expected to organize events and create content for the young talents in one or several of the LDCs such as Djibouti, Bangladesh, Afghanistan, Chad, Angola, Benin, Yemen, Sierra Leone, Sudan etc. The volunteer is expected to help reach out to the young talents to expand FTL community and work in collaboration with the FTL training team.

Expected start date of this assignment is July 3rd.

The event organization volunteer is expected to

  1. Organize at least 3 events (online or offline) with minimum 100 attendees in total.

  2. Create technical content for the local chapter events or trainings under the supervision of FTL Technical Team. (3 content pieces)

  3. Organize monthly discussion meet-up with your local chapter community to plan and organize.

  4. Support the FTL community by communicating with the members via Discord and other channels.

  5. Connect with university students clubs, communities and individuals in your country.

  6. Keep detailed records of events, participants, feedback, and outcomes.

  7. Work in collaboration with the FTL training team .

  8. Minimum a 3rd or 4th year student, ideally a Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science in a relevant field; but all fields will be considered.

  9. Tech community experience.

  10. Experience in tools such as: Discord, Microsoft Teams, Microsoft Office and Coursera.

  11. Strong communication skills.

  12. Strong verbal and written English skills.

  13. Computer Science and Artificial Intelligence knowledge is an asset.

  14. From the Least Developed Countries (LDCs).
