This task directly contributes to the UN SDG Action Campaign’s objective of amplifying inspiring stories of change-makers who advance the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs). By enhancing the visual quality and storytelling of the Heroes of Tomorrow: UN SDG Action Awards videos, the volunteer will help increase audience engagement, strengthen digital outreach, and raise global awareness of innovative SDG actions. These videos will support the Campaign’s mission to mobilize people and organizations to take action for a more sustainable and just world.
Video Editing and Creative Enhancement Support: The UN SDG Action Campaign has recorded 5 short video interviews featuring finalists and judges of the Heroes of Tomorrow: UN SDG Action Awards programme. These videos will be used for digital outreach on the Campaign’s channels reaching 1M followers.
The Online Volunteer will support the Campaign team in enhancing the visual appeal and storytelling quality of these videos by adding creative elements and basic post-production features.
Key responsibilities include:
Edit and enhance short-form videos to make them more engaging and visually attractive.
Add graphic elements such as titles, captions, transitions, logos, and simple animations in line with UN SDG Action Campaign branding guidelines.
Improve overall video flow, pacing, and clarity.
Ensure consistency across all 5 videos in style and presentation.
Deliver final edited videos in formats suitable for social media and digital platforms.
Expected outcome:
- A set of 5 polished, visually appealing short videos that effectively highlight the voices and stories of the Heroes of Tomorrow finalists and judges and support the visibility of the UN SDG Action Awards programme.
