Translation of content into languages is essential to promote UNEP's efforts towards sustainable development amongst the world's people in a clear voice. Due to a strong team effort, Portuguese speaking countries are already able to access many content and campaigns. However, we are not able to translate all the news and stories produced by UNEP globally in to Portuguese. We consider these contents extremely relevant and informative, though. In addition, we believe in the power of knowledge sharing. Therefore, we are looking for a volunteer to colaborate with UNEP Brazil Country Office on a weekly basis, available 6-10 hours a week. Our communication team will select the pieces and share by e-mail with the volunteer. The volunteer's name will appear on the footnote of each content.

Our mission is to provide leadership and encourage partnership in caring for the environment by inspiring, informing, and enabling nations and peoples to improve their quality of life without compromising that of future generations. Translation of content into languages is essential to promote UNEP's efforts towards sustainable development amongst the world's people in a clear voice. Therefore, the Volunteer's work will support to inspire and inform Portuguese speaking people on new reports and data, good practices around the world, successful local projects, new campaigns etc.

• 6-10 hours per week / 8 weeks

  The Volunteer needs proficiency in Portuguese and English; also knowledge of grammar and good writing skills in Portuguese.
