The goal of this assignment is to ensure that the stories of UN Volunteers from Ukraine are accessible to a wider Ukrainian-speaking audience. Since the original article is available only in English, language may become a barrier for many Ukrainians who would otherwise be interested in learning about the real-life contributions and experiences of UN Volunteers. By translating the article, we aim to promote inclusivity and raise awareness of volunteerism in Ukraine.
We are seeking 1 Online Volunteer to support us by translating the article on UN Volunteers from Ukraine who served under SVF from English to Ukrainian.
To this end, the Online Volunteer is asked: - To translate the document, which is 649 words (2 pages) long, into Ukrainian. - Ensure the translation is concise, in line with our communications guidelines, and fits the audience.
The selected Online Volunteer will be provided with the document in the original language and will receive guidance on the target audience, as well as other guidance as needed.
Candidates should be native in Ukrainian and fluent in English. Familiarity with technical terms related to the service of UN Volunteers will be considered an advantage. Previous translation experience is considered an asset.
