You have:
- Candidates should be native in Ukrainian and fluent in English, or native in English and fluent in Ukrainian or Russian.
- Education in Linguistics, Philology or other relevant fields is an asset.
- Professional experience translating to/from English or document editing is an asset.
- Familiarity with environmental issues will be considered an advantage.
- A one-paragraph translation will be requested as a part of the selection process.

We are looking for an online volunteer to support several projects of the Energy and Environment Portfolio with the translation of project-related documents. The online volunteer will be asked to translate briefs, presentations, notes, letters and other documents from Ukrainian to English and vice versa. Expected workload is up to 10 pages per week. Communication with the projects team will be done via a combination of email exchange and Skype/Zoom calls. The work is expected to take place from September to December 2020. By providing the translations, the volunteers will accelerate development impact.

Translation and interpretation
Online Volunteers will support the work of several projects within the Energy and Environment Portfolio of UNDP Ukraine, specifically “Support to the Parliament of Ukraine in Sustainable Energy and Environment Area”, "UNDP-Slovakia Partnership: Effective Development Cooperation Solutions for the SDGs / Ukraine Energy Security Hub" and "Plastic waste management at the local level". The translated content will help to accelerate the development impact and visibility of environmental issues. The Online Volunteers will be fully credited for their collaboration and a certificate of appreciation will be issued at the end of the collaboration and will enhance their professional experience while partaking these assignments.
