Contract
This is a UNV National Specialist contract. This kind of contract is known as National UN Volunteer. It is normally only for nationals. More about UNV National Specialist contracts.

This UNV assignment is part of The United Nations Recovery and Peacebuilding Programme (UN RPP).
The UN RPP has addressed priority needs in the east of Ukraine arising since the outbreak of the armed conflict in spring 2014. The Programme supports the economic recovery of war-torn communities, further accelerating the decentralization and health-care reforms in these regions and strengthening community security and social cohesion in target communities. After the large-scale Russian invasion began on 24 February 2022, the Programme expanded its activities to the most war-affected oblasts of Ukraine, located primarily in the east and south of Ukraine.
Based on previous experience and to support the strengthened resilience and early recovery of war-affected communities in the selected target areas of Ukraine, UNDP and the European Union, a long-term partner (including for UNDP’s programme in the east), have in parallel launched the “EU4Recovery – Empowering Communities in Ukraine” (EU4Recovery) project, which will ensure a multiplier effect by further expanding key interventions mentioned above.
UNDP Ukraine invites applications from highly qualified, motivated and experienced Ukrainian professionals for the post of the Administrative Clerk.
Within the delegated authority and under the supervision of RPP Field Operations Manager, the Administrative Clerk will be responsible for providing administrative support to the activities of the Programme:
Supports implementation and coordination of programme/project activities and operational services: - Compliance of administrative activities with UN/UNDP rules, regulations, policies and strategies; - Support of programme monitoring and implementation, including follow-up on operational support services (payments, minor procurement); - Draft preparation of presentation materials, background information and documentation for meetings and missions;
Ensures effective administrative and logistical support to the Programme implementation: - Performance of a Travel Requester role in UNall; - Providing logistical support, including travel arrangements, accommodation, tickets, etc. - Preparation of draft supporting documents to payments and activities related to operations;
Supports office maintenance and proper assets management: - Support in the Arrangement of vehicle transportation, regular vehicle maintenance and insurance; - Custodian for assets, office equipment and valuable items for Operations Unit, including issuing to custodians and timely return to the stock; - Keeping the assets and equipment inventory; - Custodian for management of office stationery supplies including maintenance of stock list of stationery; - Distribution of stationery as required by staff and keeping a log of distribution;
Provides technical support to administrative and operational activities:
- Assist with managing urgent documentation with respect to the administrative work, communications, workflow, and filing of all documents related to the operation;
- Provide written unofficial translations of documents related to administrative process from/into English/Ukrainian/Russian;
- Perform any other related tasks as may be required or assigned by the supervisor.

the usage of computers and office software packages (MS Word, Excel) and advance knowledge of spreadsheet and database packages, experience in handling web-based management systems. Knowledge of other UN working language would be an asset.
As it is a national UN Volunteer's assignment, the volunteer shall organize his/her accommodation by themselves.
Entitlements of National UN Volunteer Specialist (Dnipro Duty Station)
This is a full-time assignment. The contract lasts for the period indicated in the vacancy with possibility of extensions subject to availability of funding, operational necessity and satisfactory performance. However, there is no expectation of renewal of the assignment.
Allowances: • Volunteer Living Allowance (VLA): A Volunteer Living Allowance (VLA) 1313 USD (equivalent in UAH) is provided monthly to cover housing, utilities and normal cost of living expenses. This includes Well-Being Differentials for the period while the ICSC applies hardship classification to duty stations in Ukraine as “E”. • USD 400 entry lump sum, one-time payment is provided.
Medical and life insurance: • Medical insurance: The UN Volunteer and eligible PFU dependents will receive UNV provided medical insurance coverage. Coverage for UN Volunteers begins from the Commencement of Service and normally ceases one month after the last day of the UN Volunteer Contract date. • Life Insurance: UN Volunteers are covered by life insurance for the duration of the UN Volunteer assignment. If a UN Volunteer dies during the UN Volunteer assignment, the eligible designated beneficiaries will be entitled to receive a life insurance lump sum.
Leave entitlements: • Annual leave: UN Volunteers accrue an entitlement to 2.5 days of Annual Leave per completed month of the UN Volunteer assignment. Unused accrued Annual Leave up to a maximum of 30 days is carried over in case of a contract extension within the same UN Volunteer assignment. Unused accrued Annual Leave may not be carried over in case of reassignment or a new assignment. • Learning leave: Subject to supervisor approval and exigencies of service, UN Volunteers may request up to ten working days of Learning Leave per consecutive 12 months of the UN Volunteer assignment, starting with the Commencement of Service date, provided the Learning Leave is used within the contract period • Certified Sick Leave: UN Volunteers are entitled to up to 30 days of certified sick leave based on a 12-month cycle. This amount is reset every 12-month cycle. • Uncertified Sick Leave: UN Volunteers receive seven days of uncertified sick leave working days in a calendar year. This amount will be reset at the established interval period.
