UNDP Bahrain is looking for three online volunteers to help us translate a research analysis report about the socioeconomic impact of COVID-19 in Bahrain from English to Arabic. This report is part of the global UNDP initiative to assess the socioeconomic impact of COVID-19 and will be used to inform policy and COVID-19 response decisions in the Kingdom of Bahrain. The text to be translated is 14,000 words (62 pages) long. It will include translating figures and charts.

This project is part of a larger initiative carried out by UNDP Bahrain and the Bahrain Center for Strategic, International and Energy Studies (Derasat) to carry out a socio-economic impact assessment of COVID-19 on the Kingdom that uses rigorous techniques, with inputs from a broad range of additional actors and counterparts, including the UN system, public and private sector entities, academia, and civil society.

11-20 hours per week / 2 weeks
Candidates should be native in Arabic and fluent in English. Familiarity with technical terms related to scientific research, economics, and sociology will be considered an advantage. A one-paragraph translation will be requested as part of the selection process.
