Org. Setting and Reporting

The incumbent reports to the assigned Head of Division/Section/Unit, or Engineer based on the operational needs.

Responsibilities

The incumbent: 1. Prepares, using the AutoCAD software, all drafting works necessary for the production of site surveys, schematic designs, concept designs, presentation plans, master plans detailed architectural, structural, infrastructure, electrical & mechanical drawings and produces hard copies as necessary for further checking by supervisor, in accordance with Agency’s needs, design requirements, standards and applicable local and international codes of practice; 2. Prepares diagrams, charts, plans, detailed drawings, 3-dimentional presentations, and simple graphic works for presentations as required; 3. Assists in checking contractors’ drawings including shop drawings and as-built drawings; assists in checking drawings and tender documents prepared by consultants; 4. Assists in preparing standard detailed drawings for augmenting the digital library; prepares and maintains database to organize digital copies of all design and as-built drawings projects for future easy reference; 5 Utilising drawings, assists in preparing measurements and quantities needed for bill of quantities; 6. Performs other duties as may be assigned by the supervisor(s).

Education

1. A post-secondary of two years diploma from a recognized institution in civil, architect Electrical or mechanical engineering; 2. Excellent knowledge in utilising engineering software, specifically AUTOCAD and presentation of information. Preference will be given to BA holders in civil, architect, Electrical or mechanical engineering.
