The IRC Yemen began its programs in October 2012. Since establishing its presence in the South of Yemen, in the Red Sea Coastal city of Aden, the organization has grown from just an implementing small project to handling large scale emergency and relief operations. Following the war which broke out in Yemen in March of 2015 and the humanitarian disaster, which was crafted by the same, IRC launched one an emergency response program in the southern governorates of Aden, Lahj, Abyan, Shabwah and Aldalea. Currently IRC Yemen is operating in eight governorates in the south and north of Yemen and Sana’a and Hodeidah in the North through direct programming and through local partnerships, in Health, WASH, Nutrition, Economic Recovery Development, Education, Child Protection, Gender and Women Protection and Empowerment.

SCOPE OF WORK:

The position will be based in Shabwah governorate. The Mobile Team Leader will be responsible for supervising mobile team and ensuring running of the mobile clinic operations in the selected sites and working as Medical doctor / assistant for providing diagnosis and treatment to patients visiting health facilities. Mobile Team Leader will be a focal staff for the team.

JOB SUMMARY:

- The Team Leader should comply with Health s Standard Operating Procedures (SOP’s). - Work as medical doctor/Medical Assistants and Monitor the delivery of primary health care services as required. - Support in the referral of patients with moderate to severe medical conditions, including to higher health care facilities.

WORKING RELATIONS:

- The position holder will work under supervision of the health officer. - Collaboration and coordination with the UN agencies and NGOs (IOM, UNHCR, and SHS), government authorities, community leaders, and other relevant stakeholders.

MAIN RESPONSIBILITIES:

- The post holder will be responsible for Mobile Health Team (MHT) leading, link with district health officer, local authority, and community leaders plus providing curative and preventative health care, refer patients to a higher level of care when necessary. - MHT will serve refugees and migrants in Shabwah, with a special focus on the area along the Rudom - Maiyfa'a - Ataaq road and the surrounding regions. - Provide quality treatment of patients according to the local and international protocols and adhere strictly to the universal precaution to prevent the spread of the disease in clients/migrants treatment. - Coordinate the collection and timely reporting of data and statistics in accordance with the project's requirements, national standards, internal guidelines, and donor expectations. - Assist in improving the integrity of beneficiary relations w by proposing key fraud prevention measures and encourage interaction with the ‘Complaint and Feedback Mechanism’ at health facility level. - Advocate for ongoing learning, honest dialogue, and reflection to strengthen safeguarding and promote adherence to IRC values and policies. - Perform such other duties as may be assigned.

Qualifications

REQUIREMENTS (Qualifications, Skills, and Abilities):

A. Education:

Bachelor / Diploma in Medicine

B. Experience:

- Work as Mobile Health team leader 1 years preferred. - INGO experience 3 years preferred. - A Minimum of three years of clinical professional.

C. Skills and Abilities****:

- Proficient using of Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook) and file-sharing software.

D. Competences:

- Demonstrates Self Awareness and Ethical Awareness - Works Collaboratively with others.

Language Requirements:

Fluency in both Arabic, English is prefer.
