Our personnel mostly speak French, making it challenging for them to express themselves clearly in English. This can interfere with their professional development. The goal of the English courses is to help these personnel acquire tips on how to become fluent in English, and practice English on a more regular basis.
UNDP staff Comoros is looking for one online volunteer to conduct English class for their personnel. Specifically, this task involves finding innovative ways to conduct English lessons. The aim is to develop and provide materials and strategies that will help our colleagues to cope well with English in all four competencies : reading, writing, listening and speaking
The online volunteer will do the following:
1- Develop a lesson plan by taking into account a pre-assessment that will have already been conducted to evaluate the personnel competency in English. 2- Deliver some English classes, by ensuring that all competencies are covered (listening, speaking, writing and reading). 3- At the end of the assignment, on the last lesson of each group, administer a test to the participants to assess their level after 12 weeks of lessons
The expected results will be an improved English level from all UNV Staff Comoros , personnel who will have taken part in the English training programme.
