ORGANIZATIONAL CONTEXT

The ongoing crisis in Ukraine is leading to profound humanitarian needs. It is estimated that more than 4 million people have fled Ukraine, with many more displaced in-country. WFP is currently undertaking an emergency operation to provide food assistance for people fleeing the conflict inside Ukraine and to displaced Ukrainians in neighboring refugee-hosting countries. Assistance will be provided through in-kind food distributions and cash-based transfers.

JOB PURPOSE

The Talent Acquisition Assistant performs a range of tasks related to talent acquisition and supports the accurate implementation of WFP policies and procedures and facilitates the effective functioning of client-focused and strategy-oriented HR services.

KEY ACCOUNTABILITIES (not all-inclusive)

  • Provide general administrative support within the Talent Acquisition team and HR department;
  • Draft vacancy announcements and publish them in the WFP career website Applicant Tracking System (e-recruit);
  • Coordinate recruitment activities including Managing calendars and schedule all candidate interviews;

  • Liaise with hiring managers and support them in the filling of vacancies by advising them on best practice, as well as the relevant rules and regulations;

  • Draft various HR documentation and correspondence required for the specific area of work ensuring accuracy and meeting established deadlines.
  • Assist with onboarding and new hire orientation;
  • Deliver pristine customer service to WFP staff and candidates as an important point of contact between the talent acquisition team within HR;
  • Support any other duties as required.

STANDARD MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS

Education: First University degree in Human Resource Management, Business Administration, Public or Business Administration, Organizational Psychology or other relevant fields. Experience: Two (2) or more years of experience in Human Resources.

Languages: Fluency (level C) in English language and Fluency in the language of the duty station.

TERMS AND CONDITIONS

  • TYPE & LEVEL OF CONTRACT: Service Contract level 5 (SC5)
  • DURATION: 12 months (this is an on-site position)
  • DUTY STATION (City, Country): Lviv, Ukraine
  • This position is open ONLY to Ukrainian nationals.
