Overview

You have:

  • Proficiency in digital communication tools

  • Degree in communication or related fields a plus
  • Expertise in HTML, CSS, and JavaScript
  • Experience with web design principles and best practices
  • Knowledge of responsive design and cross-browser compatibility
  • Ability to create visually appealing and user-friendly website layouts
  • Expertise in graphic design software such as Adobe Creative Suite (Photoshop, Illustrator, InDesign)
  • Knowledge of design principles and typography

  • Ability to create engaging and impactful visuals that enhance website content

The Online Volunteers will work under the direct supervision of the UNITLIFE programme manager. They will receive guidance from the Programme Support consultant, who leads the communications operations, to ensure alignment with the initiative's objectives. Additionally, coordination with the communications team will be maintained to ensure the marketing and communication strategy for UNITLIFE aligns with the overall goals of the organization. The volunteers will be selected based on their skills and experience and will report directly to the programme support consultant.

UNITLIFE, a UNCDF programme, is seeking two Online Volunteers to support the communications team in developing content for their website. The volunteers will assist with drafting and reviewing content to ensure it is up-to-date, well-written, and accurate. This includes reviewing existing content, as well as drafting new materials such as articles or blog posts that reflect the status of the programme.

Responsibilities:

  • Draft and review website content for accuracy and clarity
  • Ensure website content is up-to-date and meets the needs of the intended audience
  • Develop new content for the website, such as articles and blog posts
  • Collaborate with the communications team to ensure objectives are met
  • Assist with outreach and advocacy efforts as needed
