The Community Outreach for for Gender Equality and Women's Empowerment in Coexisting with COVID-19 Project aims to ensure that women, especially those in rural areas, have access to correct information on COVID-19 and the disproportionate impact of COVID-19 on women. As part of the project, UNDP and the Lao Women’s Union, spoke to people living in rural areas to gauge their understanding of COVID-19, gender-based violence, and other issues pertinent to women. Due to COVID-19 restrictions, interviews were conducted over the phone and we require translation of the conversation transcipts into English for analysis.

UNDP Lao PDR is seeking support from a dedicated, native Lao speaker to translate 7 transcriptions of phone interviews for analysis. These interviews were conducted to better understand the level of awareness on COVID-19 and the impacts it has had on women, especially gender-based violence.

Candidates must be native Lao speakers with good English, with access to a computer.
