In 2017, Canada adopted a Feminist International Assistance Policy to advance gender equality and the empowerment of women and girls as the most effective way to reduce poverty and build a more inclusive, peaceful and prosperous world. In alignment with this policy, a Gender-Based Analysis (GBA) is a required element of the Canada Fund for Local Initiatives (CFLI) project application process.

In this regard, MDF who have been selected to draft a full proposal to develop WASH knowledge and application in Papua New Guinea needed support from Online Volunteers with expertise in Gender Based Analysis to develop a winning proposal.

MDF requires the support of Online Volunteers with expertise in Gender-Based Analysis who are able to provide advice and recommendation to help MDF in drafting a proposal which has the requirement/emphasize to: a) consider how women, girls, men, and boys are affected differently by the problem the project is seeking to address; b) consider how other identity factors (such as, race, religion, age) contribute to these experiences; c) consult women and/or girls in the development of your project proposal; d) incorporate the findings from questions provided by the Foundation to help build a proposal on hand.

The task requires daily communication online with the focal point from MDF to ensure the proposal is inline with the donors requirements and guidelines.

Must be expert in Gender Base Analysis and must have more than 10 years of working experience in this area. Able to identify Gender Base Issues in Papua New Guinea and portray in line with international human and women rights practices, treaties and protocols. Must be familiar with International Conventions and International Human Rights Laws.
