You have:

  • Demonstrated skills in graphic design, logo design, icon development, or experience drawing digitally.
  • Degree in graphic design, video production, photography, or visual arts.
  • Interest or knowledge in environmental, climate and conservation related issues.
  • Good communication skills and must be very attentive, responsive, and proactive.
  • Ability to provide samples of work upon request.

Morobe Development Foundation Inc. is a not-for-profit organization based in Papua New Guinea and was established to promote sustainable community development initiatives and thereby address several exigent issues – ranging from environmental conservation to women's rights – that are hindering the quality of life of PNG communities

To continue MDF's mission MDF requires support in grant searches where the grants will allow MDF to expand its partnership and community outreach activities (e.g., education programs, community run nature-based solutions); and extensively to reach out to more potential donors based in the US.

Further, this assignment will also support MDF to acquire grants to implement projects in areas of environmental conservation and sustainability (where MDF has undertaken several projects in the past couple of years) and the takeaways from these globally focused endeavors would be streamlined to serve the needs of PNG communities.

To that end, we are currently looking for the support of 1 Online Volunteer with experience in graphic design, logo design or drawing digital images.

Morobe Development Foundation Inc. is looking into collaborating with a partner NGO based in California, USA on projects related environmental conservation and grassroots level projects focused on nature-based solutions and environmental education. In that regard, MDF is seeking the support of 1 Online Volunteer who has experience in graphic design. The volunteer should be able to create images for a website, social media, design infographics and posters.

The selected Online Volunteer is expected to work under the supervision of subject experts by carrying out the following tasks: 1. Following the suggestions and design recommendations of team members when creating content; 2. Make meaningful design suggestions that improve the overall product (e.g.: poster or infographic); 3. Create clean cut and original designs that the organization could use on social media, its website or blog. 4. Specifically, the volunteer is expected to create 4 graphic designs during this assignment.

Requirements

The ideal candidates should have demonstrated skills in graphic design, logo design, icon development or experience drawing digitally. We are seeking candidates who have a degree in graphic designs, video production, photography or visual arts. Candidates should be able to provide samples of their work upon request. - Candidate should have interest or knowledge in environmental, climate and conservation related issues. - Must have good communication and be very attentive, responsive, and proactive. - While filling out your application, under the “motivation” section, please elaborate on your graphic design experience. - Please note that a 2 month commitment is required for this role.
