Contract

This is a UNV contract. More about UNV contracts.

Morobe Development Foundation Inc. is a not-for-profit organization based in Papua New Guinea and was established to promote sustainable community development initiatives and thereby address several exigent issues – ranging from water sanitation and hygiene to environment – that are hindering the progress of the country. Few of our ongoing projects focus on applications of various state-of-the-art technologies. To continue MDF's mission in carrying the above-mentioned projects, MDF requires support in grant writing where the grants will allow MDF to expand its partnership and scientific outreach activities (e.g., publications); and extensively to reach out to more potential donors.

MDF seeks the support of online volunteers who will work collaboratively with the contact person of the organization to draft a high-quality proposal which will be used to apply for a grant.

Among the 3 Online Volunteers, the tasks will be split into 3 categories as follows:

(a) research in certain areas: who could conduct research on the project ideas that the grant requires.

(b) proposal writing: whose core focus will be on writing grant drafts, communicating with the focal person from MDF, and meeting the deadlines.

(c) graphical design: who could help with creating figures/graphical illustrations for the grant proposal.

At the end of the assignment volunteers will be issued with a certificate of appreciation from UNV. Online volunteers will not be requested to contact any third party on our behalf.

IMPORTANT Online Volunteers must not be asked or requested to solicit donations or funds from third parties. Should you be aware of such request, please report to UNV at [email protected]

  • The ideal candidate should have demonstrated skills in report/grant/article writing.

  • Must have good communication and be very attentive, responsive, and proactive.

  • Must be able to work independently with limited supervision.
