The project is in in line with MDF's objective in supporting community development projects such as water supply, resource centers and ecotourism centers and in this regard, MDF intend to develop a water supply project in a rural community in Papua New Guinea so the communities can have clean and quality water in reasonable quantity.
For that purpose, MDF is seeking supports from Online Volunteers through this assignment to help MDF in developing a technical illustration and cost estimation of the water supply system which will be used to build-up a strong project proposal. The project proposal, incorporating the technical illustration and costing of the water supply, will be submitted to the PNG National Government in Dei Council Ward in Western Highlands Province (PNG) for funding. This project also aligns with UN Sustainable Development Goals, and Papua New Guinea Government Medium Term Development Goals to ensure rural communities have access to quality water to improve quality of living.
The two selected Online Volunteers will be issued a certificate from the UN Online Volunteering Service after the completion of this task.
MDF is seeking 2 Online Volunteers to support in drawing a 2D/3D diagram for a water supply project in Papua New Guinea where they are required to understand and know how to use maps, coordinates and elevation that will be provided by the MDF-PNG's focal point.
The following tasks will be split between the two selected Online Volunteers: - To estimate all materials needed for the project and to do project costing; - To illustrate the general engineering set up of the water supply project using AutoCAD. The Online Volunteers are also expected to provide information and recommendation for the project based on the baseline information provided by the MDF-PNG's focal point.
