The project aims to develop an analysis of monetary and non-monetary child poverty. This analysis contributes to making available to political decision-makers and program managers, analytical information on the situation of poverty and vulnerability of children in Burundi to develop sectoral strategies, policies, programs and budgets.

The Social Policy and Advocacy section of UNICEF Burundi contains a portfolio “Analysis of child poverty and public finances for children which aims to support the generation of evidence to guide policies, programs and budgets as well as the measurement and child poverty reporting are institutionalized within government. In addition to the main report, provincial snapshots on child poverty analysis are produced.

In order to have provincial snapshots ready for dissemination, we are looking to recruit an individual to do the design and layout of the following documents: - 18 provincial snapshots, each document of approx. 6 pages, in ENGLISH - 18 provincial snapshots, each document of approx. 6 pages, in FRENCH

the online volunteer is requested to do the following: - Collect information on document/material background such as target audience, design style, branding guidelines etc.; - Create draft design based on requirements and discuss with focal point/ communications team; - Develop the design according to agreed requirements.

The design/layout should follow our corporate design guidelines which will be shared with the Online Volunteers in advance.

The Online Volunteer/s will have the opportunity to build connections with the Social Policy and Advocacy section at UNICEF Burundi and learn about the ways in which graphic design can support evidence-generation on child poverty.

Candidates should have professional experience in graphic design with previous experience in designing document layouts, and must have in-depth knowledge of graphic design applications, as well as good verbal and written communication skills. A degree in graphic design or related field is considered an asset.
