Contract

This is a UNV contract. More about UNV contracts.

CAEPA has completed the implementation of its Proposed 5-year CAEPA Strategic Plan 2018-2022. Moving forward, CAEPA will continue to make gains in improving the environmental stewardship and livelihoods of pastoralists and farming communities within North-west and South-West Cameroon. It will build on farmer’s assets and integrate social innovation, improved technologies and collaboration in community-led strategies. However, while CAEPA’s work is rooted in sustainable agro-forestry and Livelihoods, it does not end there. CAEPA has recently taken a deeper look into the challenges within the communities it supports through a gender-sensitive lens. CAEPA is rapidly developing its capacity in gender-transformative development and is aware that it cannot successfully address the root causes of poverty and under-development without also addressing the inequality and exclusion of women and girls. We will be sharing these IEC materials on projects implemented as our contribution to Cameroon’s growth and employment strategy of becoming an emergent economy by 2035. Our work has also contributed to the achievements of the SDG.
