You have:

  • Bachelor’s degree in BBA or relevant field required.
  • 1 to 2 years in a similar field or equivalent working experience with humanitarian organizations, preferably with INGOs.
  • Skills in accountability and transparency required.
  • Technical competency required.
  • Fluency in Pashto, Dari, and English required.
  • Proficient in computer skills (MS Word, Excel, Access, and internet) an advantage.

Job Description

- Maintain IRC Afghanistan Supply Chain policies and procedures. Ensure that these are available to all concerned staff in the field and communicated well. - Ensure compliance with Supply Chain policies and procedures and maintain an efficient procurement system for the field office. - Procure Goods, Services, and work in accordance with IRC’s Afghanistan Procurement Policy and Procedures and donors’ regulations. - Ensure each procurement process is transparently completed and sufficient procurement support documents are obtained to feed both procurement and finance files with the required documents and full audit trail. - Under the direct supervision of the Supply Chain Manager, implement internal controls and establish a reasonable and appropriate lead-time for ordering and delivery of goods. - Ensure to assist the Supply chain assistant and storekeeper and storage relevant activities whenever needed. - Ensure timely purchase and delivery of goods to programs/requestors. - Submit monthly supply chain reports to the Supply Chain Manager. - Assist Supply chain officer on the day-to-day supply chain activities and proper file keeping and updating. - Responsible for timely provision of forecast on all ongoing and pending purchases to the Supply Chain officer for monthly submission to the finance department. - Be aware of finance procedures and audit requirements. - Attend and participate in pieces of training identified/organized by your supervisor. - Follow any new procedures and guidelines designated in circulars from Supply Chain Coordinator, Deputy Director Operation, and Country Director. - Attend and actively participate in relevant meetings assigned by the Supply Chain officer. - Carries out other relevant duties as assigned by your supervisor.

- Education: Bachelor’s degree in BBA or Relevant - Years of Experience: 1 to 2 years in similar field or equivalent of working experience with Humanitarian organizations, preferably with INGOs. - Skills: Accountability, transparency, technical skill - Technical Competency: yes - Communication and reporting skills: yes - Fluency in Pashto, Dari, and English - Computer skills (including MS Word, Excel, Access, and internet) an advantage - Ability to work closely, professionally, and constructively with all others regardless of nationality, ethnicity, gender, religion, race, tribe, or cultural background
