Overview

Coordinate and support GESI and Protection mainstreaming across Mercy Corps Ukraine programs.

You have:

  • Master’s degree in law, program management, gender studies, social sciences, human rights, protection, international development, or related field; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • Minimum 5 years of progressive experience in GESI, and/or Protection within humanitarian or development settings, including at least 2 years in a coordination, management or technical advisory role.
  • Demonstrated ability to integrate gender and protection mainstreaming across program cycles, conduct assessments, and apply GESI/Protection frameworks.
  • Proven experience in capacity strengthening, including design and facilitation of training for staff and partners on gender, inclusion, and protection.
  • Strong understanding of localization approaches, accountability, PSEAH, and Do No Harm principles and their practical application in programming.
  • Familiarity with MEL systems, including collection and analysis of sex-, age-, and disability-disaggregated data (SADDD), and use of qualitative tools for inclusion monitoring.
  • Excellent English and Ukrainian (written and spoken) required.
  • Willingness and ability to travel up to 50% time to other Mercy Corps offices and field locations preferred.
