UNICEF Palestine is looking for 2 online volunteers to provide simultaneous interpretations of English-Arabic, Arabic-English during our upcoming three days workshop (3hrs\day) that will take place on 28-30 June starting at 4:30 PM – 7:30 (Palestine time). The workshop will be on the new Palestinian National Youth Volunteer Service Programme and Youth Engagement

    The Palestinian government with support of the UN in the state of Palestine, will pilot a National Youth Volunteer Service Program, with the vision to build a culture and habit of public service & civic engagement in all segments of society (Private and public sectors and civil society). This workshop comes as part of the designing process of this programme, aiming to include young people and engage them in the process from the beginning. In this dynamic 3-day workshop, GVI (Global Volunteering Initiative) and UN agencies will work together with youth to strengthen and align UN efforts through encouraging more young people to volunteer in Palestine. Aiming to generate creative ideas and design proposed volunteer strategies that GenU, UNICEF Palestine Office, UNFPA, UNDP, UNV and partners can implement in the months following the workshop, along with agreed next steps.

  • Volunteers: 4 needed

  • 6-10 hours per week / 1 weeks

    Candidates should be native in Arabic and fluent in English. Familiarity with technical terms related to youth engagement and volunteerism will be considered an advantage. A one-paragraph translation will be requested as part of the selection process.
