THE ROLE AND ORGANIZATIONAL CONTEXT

WFP is looking to build, implement, and continuously improve a Young Talent Pipeline to support our growing needs, within 3 primary focus areas: University Internship Program, College Graduate Program and University Partnerships

We are looking for an individual that will partner with universities or other institutions to attract the best candidates with a focus on attracting female and individuals from Developing Countries. This role owns defining the centralized process and roadmap. This includes defining success criteria, aligning key stakeholders, developing and implementing tools and processes, developing and measuring success criteria, etc.

The role sits within our Talent Acquisition unit which focuses on external recruitments, young talent and FIT Pool (WFP’s roster).

KEY ACCOUNTABILITIES (not all-inclusive)

  • Partner with key stakeholders in Headquarters, Regional Bureaus and Country Offices to develop and execute the training programme
  • Build and maintain a robust list of the top global universities with degrees relevant to WFP
  • Work in collaboration with the team on the communication strategy to promote the initiative
  • Plan and execute sourcing and attraction events with universities, educating them on our WFP’s values and career opportunities, and providing guidance as needed to carry out a customized strategy for individual universities
  • Continuously analyze the talent inflow for quality and diversity of applicants and propose and implement corrective actions to improve.
  • Consult with Country Offices to identify their key relationships for successful young talent outreach
  • Drive project execution within a matrixed organization by managing partner and stakeholder communications and ensuring timelines and deliverables are met
  • Lead a small team and coach and guide through the process and focus on the team's engagement and development.
  • Stay abreast of industry knowledge, campuses, and best practices for recruiting; analyze and summarize to stakeholders all trends, competitive intelligence, and key performance metrics to influence data driven decisions
  • Other tasks as requested.

QUALIFICATIONS AND KEY REQUIREMENTS

  • Minimum of 8 years' experience as a part of a university recruiting function that manages high-volume, seasonal hiring or a large scale trainee programme
  • Strong track record of managing multiple projects simultaneously, while contributing to larger programmatic initiatives
  • Able to communicate effectively and deliver presentations to groups at varying levels.
  • Enjoy collaborating effectively with all stakeholders with the capacity to take into consideration and incorporate each point of view.
  • Strong attention to detail is essential for this role.
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
  • Knowledge and effective usage of project management methodologies, processes and tools
  • Ability to work in a collaborative team environment; receptive to receiving/giving feedback
  • Demonstrated proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook.)
  • Bachelor’s or Master’s Degree in Human Resources, Industrial Relations, Business or related field of study
  • Fluency (level C) in English language.
  • Intermediate knowledge (level B) of a second official UN language: Arabic, Chinese, French, Russian, Spanish, and/or Portuguese (a WFP working language) is desirable

This is a Consultant contract. WFP offers a competitive compensation package which will be determined by the contract type and selected candidate’s qualifications and experience.
