MDF is seeking the support from Online Volunteers through this assignment where the objectives are aligned with the UN Global Goals which is to foster climate mitigation and adaptation initiatives, focusing on nature/ecosystem-based solutions. Specifically, through this assignment we intend to: • Supporting sustainable development activities that deliver conservation outcomes and climate benefits and contribute to the economic well-being of the people of PNG including customary landowners - while lessening the dependence on activities that degrade the environment; • Increasing knowledge and understanding of biodiversity and climate issues by raising public awareness, promoting environmental education, and supporting field-based research; • Building the capacity of local stakeholders to manage and implement biodiversity, climate, and economic development projects carried out in harmony with conservation objectives; and • Supporting the country’s efforts to meet its national, regional, and global conservation and climate commitments.

The three online volunteers selected will support on this specific areas; a) Literature review of biodiversity conservation i n PNG b) Writing and editing the Biodiversity Conservation document c) Reviewing and providing advice and recommendation on biodiversity and conservation

The selected Online Volunteers are expected to provide the following supports: - reviewing, editing and structuring an existing proposal on biodiversity conservation in collaboration with the contact person from the Foundation. - provide technical advice and recommendation to build a proposal before submission to the donor agency. - researching keywords to complete the proposal and to arrange references in APA format by using the automated Mendeley software available online.

• Candidate must have experience and knowledge in economics, political science, GIS Mapping and Environmental Science
• PhD Students in the field of GIS, Economics etc. are encourage to apply
