Overview

Assist in research trials for feed and forage.

You have:

  • HND/BSc in Animal Science and other related courses.
  • Minimum of four (4) years’ experience performing a similar role in a well-structured environment.
  • Graduate Animal Scientist (GAS) Certification issued by Nigerian Institute of Animal Scientist (NIAS) is required.
  • Proficient in data collection, entry, and basic statistical analysis.
  • Strong organizational and time management skills.
  • Good communication and teamwork abilities.
  • Ability to work under field conditions and adapt to different research environments.

Position: Research Support Officer (Feed & Forage)

Contract: 2-year renewable contract Location: Ibadan

Closing Date: 10 October 2025

DUTIES:

  • Assist in setting up, managing, and maintaining forage research trials in the field and laboratory.

  • Support sample preparation, laboratory analysis, and data processing.

  • Maintain research equipment, tools, and materials in good condition.
  • Provide technical and logistical support for all field trial activities.
  • Collect and Prepare feed and forage samples, and the operation of the NIRS machine for sample analysis.
  • Maintaining the forage field and forage genetic plots.
  • Perform any other duties as may be assigned by the supervisor.

Requirements

QUALIFICATION:

HND/BSc in Animal Science and other related courses. The ideal candidate must have minimum of four (4) years’ experience performing a similar role in a well-structured environment. Graduate Animal Scientist (GAS) Certification issued by Nigerian Institute of Animal Scientist (NIAS) is required.
