MDF has undertaken various scientific research studies related to the environment - forest cover loss, land use land cover change, the influence of various parameters on surface waters, and coastal shoreline turtle habitat loss.

At present, MDF have research papers covering the issues related to water quality, waste management, and mangrove mapping that are ready to be published; and through this online assignment, MDF is seeking the support of Online Volunteers to identify and gather necessary information of available platforms for journal publication. This assignment would support MDF's mission to ensure that the latest information and research-based findings/recommendation on environmental issues are accessible for the community in PNG and greater public audience. Extensively, this assignment would also enable MDF is achieving it's objective in carrying out environment and community based projects in PNG.

MDF requires the service of 2 Online Volunteers to research and identify potential free and paid international platforms for scientific journal publication. The Online Volunteers are required to collect necessary information such as the links, template, guidelines, the fee, email/contact information and other vital information on journal submission (i.e.: the prerequisites for manuscript submission, peer-review process, revision; and other information that is deem necessary and relevant). The Online Volunteers may use any channels or online platform to perform the above task.

The selected Online Volunteers will be collaborating with the focal point from MDF-PNG and compile the gathered key information into the Excel template provided by MDF.

At the end of the assignment, the Online Volunteers will be certified upon completion of the task through the UNV platform.
