Position: Reintegration Officer Reports To: Protection Programmes Manager Duty Station: Gwoza Contract Term: 1-year fixed term with possibility of extension Working Hours: Monday to Thursday 8:30am - 5:15pm, Friday 8:30am - 1:30pm Gross Salary: NGN 588,790.78 monthly

The role:

  • Facilitate the training of and ongoing support for case workers and facilitators including community volunteers, on the reintegration of Children Associated with Armed Groups (CAAFAG).
  • Manage the children associated with armed groups program, including ensuring timely implementation of activities, timely reporting to the donors, compliance with visibility requirements, and compliance with internal UNICEF procedures and processes.
  • Led the implementation of social and economic reintegration for Children Associated with Armed Groups (CAAFAG) and monitored, planned, implemented, and managed the reintegration project.
  • Support donor reports, and develop a works plan for the reintegration grants.
  • Work with other partners to ensure better reintegration of children who were associated with armed group including girls and women who have suffered conflict-related sexual violence, through the provision of individual psychosocial support, empowerment/livelihoods, peer group support, family tracing, reunification and reconciliation, and community dialogue to promote return and reintegration.
  • Work with State ministries and other actors to implement community-based social and economic reintegration strategies for children associated with armed groups including survivors of conflict-related sexual violence. Provide technical guidance for the implementation of the strategy and program on the reintegration of Children Associated with Armed Groups (CAAFAG).
  • Support the development of community-based reintegration activities for affected children including girls and women with the support of GBV specialists.
  • Provide guidance and technical support to the implementing project team, in all phases of the project cycle with regards to Child Protection and GBV case management across project locations.
  • Case management support to case workers, review of documentation, training, coaching, supportive supervision, and capacity building.
  • Support the supervision and coaching of Child-friendly spaces facilitators and monitoring of activities in the safe spaces.
  • Ensure good working relationships and mentoring sessions for community facilitators and beneficiaries of parenting sessions, CBCPCs, and other support groups across project locations.
  • Develop and monitor activity implementation plans with the project team.
  • Lead/organize regular project monitoring visits and plan for project action plans, revisions, and modifications if the need arises.
  • Provide weekly reports to the Programme Manager covering the status of implementation across all locations of responsibility.
  • Ensure compliance with donor rules and regulations during implementation.
  • Collaborate with the M&E Officer, CRM Officer, and CPIMS Officer in ensuring adequate data capturing of project beneficiaries.
  • He / She shall also undertake any other role or responsibility assigned by the CP program manager.

Reporting:

  • The reintegration officer reports directly to the child protection program manager.
  • Keep the Child Protection Programed Manager informed on the activities of the project by providing relevant correspondence, reports, and meeting minutes as well as making regular updates.
  • Responsible for prompt submission of all reports to the Child Protection Program Manager.
  • Work closely with caseworkers on case workers on child protection and reintegration -related cases, work with meal and keep the CP program manager informed on inflow of data on primero.
