This is a UNV contract. More about UNV contracts.

MDF intends to target the forest sector to facilitate forest biomass conservation and shoreline protection, specifically at Kamiali Wildlife Management Area. The project will assist in the formation of the Kamiali Wildlife Management Area (KWMA) Committee. This is part of a project supported by the Biodiversity Climate Fund secured by MDF to help the KWMA Committee.

Through this project, MDF plans to map and identify changes in forest zones that may have a crucial impact on forest ecosystems and species diversity, in addition to the well-being and livelihood of the populations. This is very relevant in countries such as Papua New Guinea (PNG) where the residents of reserve land and shoreline areas are highly dependent on forest and coastal-related revenue.

In that regard, MDF is looking to collaborate with Online Volunteers through this assignment, to review and refine the existing business plan of the KWMA to help in sustaining its activities. The business plan will be relevant to the general well-being and livelihood of the populace and, in particular, to improve human resources and financial affairs, which are very important for the continuation of this joint effort in addressing both biodiversity and climate action in the area.

We are seeking the support of three (3) Online Volunteers who are experts in the business area to help us revise and refine a business plan for the Kamiali Wildlife Management Area, and provide more and better advice for continuous and subsequent implementation.

To that end, Online Volunteers are expected to carry out the following tasks: a) review a 500-word business plan after communicating with the MDF focal point. b) edit and provide advice and recommendations for implementation. c) support in researching past business plans and cash flow diagrams for reference and benchmarking.

Candidates must have a fair command of English and must have finance-related experience in NGOs and other relevant agencies. Candidates must have a Degree in Accounting, Management, or Business Administration.
