  • At least 2 years of relevant experience working with children, including managing PSS cases directly is required.
  • Experience working with children/youth programming, psychosocial support or child protection with an NGO, INGO or UN agency is required.
  • Strong attention to detail with a commitment to maintaining data accuracy and consistency.
  • Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment and communicate effectively with both colleagues and external partners.
  • Good organizational skills, with the ability to manage multiple tasks and meet deadlines.
  • Flexibility to adapt to changing circumstances and respond to emerging needs.
  • Languages – Romanian/Russian - Fluent in all aspects; English – basic knowledge.

Position overview:

The Psychologist will be responsible for the implementation of PSS activities carried out in schools environments and different settings. (S)he will be responsible for the provision of groups psychosocial activities to the target population, ensuring confidentiality and safety of the clients.

Duties & Responsibilities:

- Lead Psycho-Educational and Psychosocial Support Groups: Design and implement psycho-educational and psychosocial support (PSS) groups for children and adolescents, addressing their specific needs.

- Provide Age-Appropriate Activities: Develop and deliver culturally relevant PSS activities tailored to the developmental stages of children and adolescents.

- Ensure Confidentiality and Safe Environment: Maintain confidentiality of participants and establish a safe, supportive environment for all group activities.

- Identify Protection Risks: Assess and identify children and adolescents at risk, ensuring appropriate referrals are made following established pathways.

- Contribute to Psychosocial Assessments: Support and participate in psychosocial assessments and evaluations of individuals in the intervention area.

- Documentation and Reporting: Prepare monthly reports, complete necessary documentation, and ensure timely updates in the database.

- Communication and Collaboration: Maintain effective communication with team members and other stakeholders, collaborating closely with other programs within the organization.

- Risk Management: Identify potential project risks, develop mitigation strategies, and monitor the implementation of risk management plans.

- Support MEAL Activities: Assist in Monitoring, Evaluation, Accountability, and Learning (MEAL) activities, documenting lessons learned, and providing feedback for program improvement.

- Uphold Equality and Accountability Standards: Promote gender equality, diversity, and ensure high standards of accountability through communication, information sharing, and adherence to organizational policies and procedures.
