You have:

  • Bachelor’s degree preferably in education or bachelor’s degree in business administration
  • At least 4-5 years of experience in relevant field in humanitarian organization (NGO)
  • Good working knowledge in project implementation
  • Good communication and coordination skills
  • Able to mentor and support departmental staff
  • Excellent Budget Management skills
  • Experience in report writing
  • Good interpersonal skills and ability to work as part of a team, as well as independently
  • Fluent in speaking and writing English and speak/write one of the local languages (Dari/Pashto)
  • Computer skills including knowledge and proficient using of MS Office package (Microsoft Word, Excel, Outlook, etc.)

Job Description

· Areas of Responsibilities:

· Supervise successful implementation of the project activities in the province; promote and ensure the quality of implementation, accountability of the activates and doing no harm to the beneficiaries.

· Together with the team, prepare regular progress reports and reflective documents about the program, and submit to the Kabul Main Office.

· Identify and respond to deviations in project area and inform the field coordinator and Kabul main office of actions to be taken.

· Overall supervision of the provincial education team members; plan for and implement job-related training and development activities for supervised staff.

· Oversee and ensure proper maintenance of the database of the program activities.

· Regularly prepare the weekly, Monthly reports to Kabul main office, attend meetings in Kabul

· Ensure that accurate and updated records of logistics and inventory of the education activities are maintained.

· Provide timely financial projections to the field Coordinator and Kabul main office; maintain records of all expenditure approved by the Education Coordinator for program activities.

· Monitor education program expenses in the province to ensure budgets are followed and expenses are appropriated and recorded.

· Maintain proper communication with other units of the field offices and Kabul, Monitor movement of education staff members.

· Preparation of quarterly and annual report on timely manner for the provincial Education departments according to the MOU bands.

· Conduct field visits of the ALP/CBE classes for improvement of the project quality.

· Distribution of the project education materials and other related kits on timely manner for all the CBE/ALP classes in the targeted districts.

· Work closely with the education staff member to provide the teachers time sheet and payroll on timely manner for on time distribution of the teachers’ salaries.

· Preparation of the new project Power point presentation for further introduction of the new projects to the related sectorial department in the provincial level.

· Checking the project budget lines for underspending and over spending purpose and shearing with budget holders for taking further decision in this regard.

· Over see the program related training for the education staff, CBE/ALP teachers, SMC, and formal schools’ teachers.

· Preparation of the project activities plan and monitoring and strongly follow-up of the plan and tools.

· Support the project staff for preparation the project related PRs for timely procurement process of the needed materials.

· Have close coordination with the provincial and district education authority for smoothly Handover of the project/classes, Project assets which is mentioned in the MOU to be submit to the provincial education departments at the end of the project and Asas Number of the students.

· Any other program /project related activities requested by supervisor.

Coordination:

· Coordination all field/project area activities with the Education Technical Advisor, Education Coordinator, and Field Coordinator.

· Coordinate with provincial education staff, including Mater Teacher Trainers, Teacher Trainer and Community Mobilizers.

· Coordinate with provincial Education Managers in sharing program innovations, best practices, Lessons learned, etc.
