The SOS Team of the Human Resources department (HRD) is seeking projects assistant candidates with an interest in human resources for two long-term contractual positions. The SOS team is a pool of staff assistants who float within the organization.

We are building a small pool of candidates with interest and expertise in human resources to assist various HR teams in periods of heavy workload or recruitment lags. The successful candidates will be assigned to float mainly within HRD but may be assigned to assist other teams, as needed. If you are selected for this position, your tasks may include:

  • Monitor and process the application of various employee benefits,
  • Record transactions in HR systems,
  • Receive and archive documentations from staff,
  • Answer HR queries on benefits from employees and retirees,
  • Support recruitment activities, such as campus visits, scheduling interviews for recruitment programs or specific positions,
  • Create distribute e-binders,
  • Create metrics using various analytical tools,
  • Calendar management and regular office coordination tasks,
  • Formatting and proofreading reports,
  • Provide administrative support to various teams within the Fund.

The successful candidates should be prepared to support any teams within the Fund. They may also be assigned to support other departments and perform regular administrative duties when not assigned to HRD.

Qualifications:

The successful candidates should have a bachelor’s degree in human resources management, business administration, or a related field. Alternatively, they should have a high school diploma with a minimum of four years of experience as HR coordinator in talent acquisition or benefits administration. In addition, the successful candidates will have the following skills and competencies:

  • Quick learner, particularly in the area of employee benefits,
  • Display a high degree of flexibility and adaptability,
  • Excellent attention to detail,
  • Excellent oral and written communication, customer service, and interpersonal skills, with the ability to communicate with staff at all levels with tact and diplomacy,
  • Strong work management and organization skills and the ability to handle a heavy workload,
  • Ability to work independently and also as a team member,
  • Excellent technical skills (MS Word, Outlook, Windows), with the ability to adapt to new technology and process changes.

Shortlisted candidates will be required to take the "staff assistant assessment,"

an online test assessing their technical skills (Word and Windows) and suitability for coordinator role at the Fund. You must live in the Washington, D.C. area to be eligible for this position.
