Support integrated interventions for vulnerable children's development across sectors.

You have:

  • The position holder should have a basic degree in any of the fields of (Public Health, Social Sciences, Education, Development Studies, program management or a related field or Higher national Diploma plus three years’ experience
  • Minimum of 3–5 years’ experience in community-based development programming, preferably with an NGO
  • Demonstrated experience in at least two of the following sectors: Health & Nutrition, Child Protection, Education, or WASH

MAJOR RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Facilitate participatory planning processes with communities, stakeholders, and local authorities to design integrated interventions across Health & Nutrition, Child Protection, Education, and WASH.
  • Support the development and implementation of annual operational plans (AOPs) aligned with Area Programme (AP) and National Office strategies.
  • Ensure sectoral activities are coordinated and sequenced to maximize impact and avoid duplication.
  • Promote integration of cross-cutting themes including gender equality, disability inclusion, resilience, safeguarding, and disaster risk reduction.

Health & Nutrition

  • Lead field level implementation of maternal, newborn, child, and adolescent health and nutrition (MNCAH-N) interventions, including community-based nutrition, growth monitoring, and health promotion.
  • Facilitate community engagement in nutrition-sensitive and nutrition-specific activities.
  • Strengthen linkages between communities and health facilities.

Child Protection

  • Support establishment and strengthening of community-based child protection mechanisms.
  • Facilitate awareness-raising on child rights, positive parenting, child safeguarding, and prevention of violence against children.
  • Work with local structures to address child protection risks, including child labor, early marriage, and abuse.

Education

  • Support interventions aimed at improving access to quality basic education, school attendance, literacy, and learning outcomes.
  • Facilitate community participation in school governance, child-friendly schools, and education advocacy.
  • Promote inclusive education practices, particularly for vulnerable and marginalized children.

WASH

  • Support implementation of safe water supply, sanitation, and hygiene promotion activities.
  • Facilitate Community-Led Total Sanitation (CLTS) and hygiene behavior change initiatives.
  • Promote WASH in schools, health facilities, and households, ensuring sustainability and community ownership.

Child Sponsorship Integration

  • Ensure Child Sponsorship is fully integrated into all sectoral interventions and community engagement processes.
  • Support the identification, registration, and monitoring of sponsored children in accordance with World Vision standards.
  • Facilitate timely and quality sponsorship communications, including child updates, stories, photos, and reports.
  • Use sponsorship data to inform programming decisions and prioritize the most vulnerable children.
  • Strengthening community understanding of sponsorship as a development tool, not individual aid.

Monitoring, Evaluation, Accountability, and Learning (MEAL)

  • Support routine monitoring of integrated programme activities and track progress against indicators.
  • Ensure quality data collection, documentation, and reporting for sectoral and integrated outcomes.
  • Facilitate community feedback and accountability mechanisms, ensuring community voices inform programme adjustments.
  • Contribute to learning, reflection, and adaptation processes to improve programme quality.

Partnership, Advocacy, and Stakeholder Engagement

  • Build and maintain effective relationships with local authorities, community leaders, civil society organizations, and service providers in assigned location.
  • Represent World Vision in relevant coordination meetings at community and district levels.
  • Support community advocacy initiatives to influence policies and improve service delivery for children and families.

Capacity Building and Community Empowerment

  • Strengthen the capacity of community groups, volunteers, and local structures to implement and sustain interventions.
  • Facilitate trainings, mentoring, and coaching for community stakeholders and frontline workers.
  • Promote community ownership, leadership, and sustainability of programme outcomes.

Safeguarding, Accountability, and Compliance

  • Ensure strict adherence to World Vision’s Child Safeguarding, Adult Safeguarding, Code of Conduct, and Accountability to Affected Populations (AAP) standards.
  • Promote safe programming practices and report safeguarding concerns in line with organizational procedures.
  • Ensure activities comply with donor requirements and World Vision policies.

REQUIRED KNOWLEDGE, SKILL AND EXPERIENCE

  • The position holder should have a basic degree in any of the fields of (Public Health, Social Sciences, Education, Development Studies, program management or a related field or
  • Higher national Diploma plus three years’ experience
  • The position holder must be results oriented and team a player.
  • Knowledge of WVI working systems, policies and standards will be an advantage.
  • They must have a good understanding of management, business processes and standards
  • Minimum of 3–5 years’ experience in community-based development programming, preferably with an NGO.
  • Demonstrated experience in at least two of the following sectors: Health & Nutrition, Child Protection, Education, or WASH.
  • Experience integrating Child Sponsorship or similar community-based accountability mechanisms is an advantage.
  • Proven experience working with communities, local authorities, and partners in rural or hard-to-reach settings.
  • Good analytical skills: ability to critically analyze results data and recommend programme improvements
  • Good writing skills and ability to write/edit reports, case stories and success stories.
  • Good understanding on project designs including log frames, detailed implementation plans and budget vs expenditure. Experience on it will add value.
  • Work experience with an INGO/NGO
  • Experience of coordinating teams and PNGO staff
  • Experience in preparing and leading training workshops
  • Strong understanding of integrated programming and community development approaches.
  • Excellent facilitation, communication, and community mobilization skills.
  • Ability to plan, coordinate, and manage multiple activities across sectors.
  • Strong reporting, documentation, and basic data analysis skills.
  • Ability to work independently with minimal supervision in challenging environments.
  • Good interpersonal skills and ability to work in multicultural teams.

Travel and/or Work Environment

  • Work environment: Field-based with frequent travel to communities
  • Ability to work in remote locations with limited infrastructure.
  • Occasional work outside normal office hours as required.
