Job Description

IRC Hellas has been active in Greece since 2015 and currently has offices in Athens and Lesvos and implements protection (child and women protection), mental health and psychosocial support, information provision, livelihoods, and integration programs.

SCOPE OF WORK

The Project Assistant will be working closely with the Ukrainian communities in Greece and the IRC Hellas programs and will support the coordination and delivery of IRC activities on the field.

The position reports to Refugee.Info Manager and indirectly to the Senior Community Engagement Officer.

Employment Type: Fixed term, Part-time 80 hours/month

Shift Schedule: Office Hours

Contract Duration: 31-12-2022

Key Responsibilities

• Plan, coordinate and deliver field activities, in cooperation with the Senior Community Engagement Officer and IRC program leads; implementation can also be delivered solely by the Project Assistant;

• Collect information about population needs and trends and inform the relevant program leads;

• Conduct info sessions to inform about IRC activities and to collect information from the communities;

• Keep documentation for distribution of any items; coordinate with the Monitoring and Evaluation team for tools of reporting

• Support any needs assessment efforts organized by IRC programs;

• Draft situation reports;

• Any other duty, as assigned by the supervisor to enable IRC programs.

Key Qualifications

• Minimum of one year of related professional experience working with refugees, migrants, or other vulnerable populations;

• Excellent written and oral communication skills: the ability to communicate effectively with colleagues, partners, and clients in English and Ukrainian, and/or Russian language;

• The ability to conduct focus group discussions or questionnaires;

• Ability to handle confidential documents and sensitive information;

• Proficiency in using Microsoft Office, experience leading meetings or training via online platforms such as Microsoft Teams, Zoom, and Skype;
