People & Culture Officer

The Role Summary:

The People & Culture Officer will provide business partnering and administration of the human resource function in area of operation in line with World Vision People & Culture policies, partnership standards and Somalia labour laws. The position holder will provide efficient customer service to all departments and relevant partners. This will entail coordinating recruitment processes, absence administration, compensation and benefits, monitoring performance management processes, facilitating training and development and records management.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Manage Recruitment and on boarding processes as per WV recruitment guidelines.
  • National Staff Contract Management.
  • Personnel Records Management.
  • P&C Policy implementation and administration at the field office.
  • Support local partners HR capacity building initiatives.
  • Coordinate Staff Welfare initiatives and benefits schemes.
  • Coordinate staff Performance Management and track training initiatives at the field office.

Essential:

  • A University degree in Human Resources Management/ Business Administration/ Social Sciences or an equivalent.
  • A minimum of three years’ experience in Recruitment, Benefits Administration, Records Management, Contract Management and HR policy administration in an INGO.
  • Very good English communication skills, both verbal and written
  • Proficiency in Microsoft office systems (Word, Excel & PowerPoint)
  • Ability to maintain confidential and sensitive information
  • Very good organizational skills, well-developed interpersonal skills, customer service skills, negotiation skills, facilitation skills & analytical skills
  • Excellent attention to details

Working Environment

  • Office-based in Dollow, Jubaland State with domestic travel required from time to time.
