You have:

  • Master’s degree in Computer Sciences, Information Technology or a related field from an accredited academic institution.
  • University degree in the above fields with two (2) years of relevant professional experience.
  • Professional certification in the area of study and practice above, or a Microsoft Certified professional developer is a distinct advantage.
  • Experience in core Java programming of which three years in design and development of J2EE applications.
  • Experience working with J2EE-compliant application/web servers such as Tomcat, etc.
  • Experience with Cloud application services.
  • Experience working with database technologies Microsoft SQL Server.
  • Experience building APIs, SOAP, REST, XML, JSON, Microservices.
  • Experience in SVN and/or GIT.
  • Demonstrates an analytical and systematic approach to issue resolution.
  • Demonstrates effective communication skills both oral and written.
  • Possess client-side Web development skills (HTML, CSS, JQuery/Angular/ReactJS).
  • Proficient in open-source technologies, frameworks and tools, including Spring, Hibernate, JUnit, Ant, XDoclet, JMeter, Jasper, Velocity, Freemarker, etc.
  • Ability to work with cross cutting and diverse teams.

Contract

This is a NO-A contract. This kind of contract is known as National Professional Officers. It is normally only for nationals. It's a staff contract. It usually requires 1 years of experience, depending on education.

The salary for this job should be more than 1,905 USD.

Job Description

  • Position Title: National ICT Officer (JAVA Applications Development)
  • Job classification: NO-A
  • Duty station: Manila (Global) Administrative Centre (MAC)
  • Type of Appointment: One-Year Fixed Term, with possibility of extension
  • Salary: Php 99,594.33 per month net of taxes

Context

The position is based in Manila Administrative Centre (MAC), headed by the Director of MAC. Information and Communications Technology (ICT) is one of the divisions with its operations delocalized to MAC.

Under the overall supervision of the Senior ICT Officer (Software Development) and direct supervision of the ICT Officer (JAVA Team Lead), and in close co-ordination with the ICT Officer (Project Management) and the ICT Officer (Solutions Architect), the successful candidate will be responsible for the coding of system components according to design specifications, corporate standards and best practices and solution design.

Required Qualifications and Experience

Education
