This is a UNV National Specialist contract. This kind of contract is known as National UN Volunteer. It is normally only for nationals. More about UNV National Specialist contracts.

This National UNV assignment is part of UNDP’s flagship project, The ERRY project which is a joint programme of UNDP, WFP, ILO and FAO managed under a Joint Coordination Unit and funded by the EU and SIDA. UNDP has been implementing the Enhanced Rural Resilience in Yemen (ERRY) project for the last six years to address to strengthen community and institution resilience and uplift their livelihoods. A new Phase of the project (ERRY III) has started in 2022. The Overall Objective (Goal) of the Programme is: Crisis affected communities are better able to manage local risks and shocks for increased resilience and self-reliance. Specific outcome of the project is: - Community institutions are strengthened and capacitated on gender sensitive resilience planning, conflict resolution and social cohesion. - Vulnerable communities' benefit from equal access to clean energy solutions, environmental protection, and climate adaptive capacity in sustainable manner. - Sustainable livelihoods of women and men created through improved production, food security and income opportunities.

Within the delegated authority and under the supervision of the ERRY Project Manager, the NUNV MIS Analyst will report to the ERRY Monitoring and Evaluation Specialist in undertaking the following duties: - Develop management information system framework, tools and application for ERRY III, projects. - Develop a pager on information collection, storage, process, and analysis mechanism applied by the implementing partners. - Establish user friendly database linking with implementing partners with encryption and accessibility layers. - Review the data collection tools such as baseline, survey, PDMs, field visit reports, quarterly reports, FGD, KII etc and store for better accessibility and review by the team. - Develop information management platform using feeder platform such as KOBO or Mobenzie with user friendly interface of data collected, stored, and analyzed. - Ensure protection and security of the database and assign access mechanism to implementing partners, UNDP project team and programme units. - Organize trainings for implementing partners and UNDP project staff to manage the database. - Develop information products such as maps related to intervention areas, activity, beneficiaries etc. - Produced products such as factsheet, gender disaggregated data across the intervention, and targeted beneficiaries process monitoring of interventions (Baseline, beneficiaries’ profile, support received, and progress made against baseline). - Lead on UNDP innovation tools to monitor resilience indicators and support Project Manager with key data and evidence to produce resilience indicator report on quarterly basis. - Any other data management tasks assigned by the project in line with information management .

-In usage of Esri GIS/QGIS2; MSSql and Mysql; Microsoft programs PowerPl, power query and Pivot tables; and kobotoolbox - For bachelor’s degree, 5 years of relevant management information systems experience at the national or international level is required. Experience in the usage of Esri GIS/QGIS2; MS Sql and Mysql; Microsoft programs PowerPl, power query and Pivot tables; and kobotoolbox. - Working experience in the UN system is preferable. - Excellent oral and written skills; excellent drafting, formulation, reporting skills. - Accuracy and professionalism in document production and editing. - Excellent interpersonal skills; culturally and socially sensitive; ability to work inclusively and collaboratively with a range of partners, including grassroots community members, religious and youth organizations, and authorities at different levels; familiarity with tools and approaches of communications for development. - Ability to work and adapt professionally and effectively in a challenging environment; ability to work effectively in a multicultural team of international and national personnel. - Solid overall computer literacy, including proficiency in various MS Office applications (Excel, Word, etc.) and email/internet; familiarity with database management; and office technology equipment. - Self-motivated, ability to work with minimum supervision; ability to work with tight deadlines. - Desirable: valid national driver’s license and proven ability to drive manual gear 4x4 over rough terrain; (if not applicable, delete) - Sound security awareness

As this is a national UN Volunteer assignment, the UN Volunteer will be responsible for arranging his/her own housing and other living essentials.
