Overview

Assist in monitoring and evaluation activities for ENCORE project

You have:

  • Demonstrated interest and/or experience in Monitoring and Evaluation (up to 2 years).
  • Strong grasp of Monitoring and Evaluation policies and fundamental concepts of related disciplines.
  • Training or certification in monitoring and evaluation or equivalent qualification is an advantage.
  • Experience in data collection, data analysis, and data management are required.
  • Good oral and written skills; drafting, formulation, reporting skills.
  • Solid overall computer literacy, including proficiency in various MS Office applications (Excel, Word, etc.).

Contract

This is a UNV Community Volunteer contract. This kind of contract is known as National UN Volunteer. It is normally only for nationals. More about UNV Community Volunteer contracts.

Non-family duty station

Under the direct supervision of the Project Manager the M&E Assistant will undertake the following tasks: • Assist the Cluster Lead/Area Office Coordinator/Project Manager and team in overall implementation and monitoring • Support the project team in producing quality information materials - 2 pager fact sheets of the project activities for different audiences, including donor reports • Monitor the micro purchasing grant activities and community proposals according to a clear monitoring plan and agreed-upon indicators for the ENCORE project as a whole • Assist with Innovations forms of data gathering data mapping, statistical analysis and visualization • Assist staff and partners' capacity strengthening and learning activities, as requested • Assist to the ENCORE M&E focal points the quality assurance of evaluation deliverables • Assist in appropriate methods of data collection, data analysis information management systems, data processing and analysis relevant to the evaluations

Demonstrated interest and/or experience (up to 2 years) in relevant Monitoring and Evaluation • Strong grasp of Monitoring and Evaluation policies and fundamental concepts of related disciplines. • Training or certification in monitoring and evaluation or equivalent qualification is an advantage. • Experience in data collection, data analysis and data management are required. • Good oral and written skills; drafting, formulation, reporting skills. • Solid overall computer literacy, including proficiency in various MS Office applications (Excel, Word, etc.) and email/internet; familiarity with database management; and office technology equipment.

The duration of the assignment is indicated above with the possibility of extension subject to availability of funding, operational necessity and satisfactory performance. However, there is no expectation of renewal of the assignment.

The current Conditions of Service for national UN Volunteers will apply to UN Community Volunteers as an interim measure until a full review of the national Conditions of Service is undertaken, with the following modifications as per Interim Policy Note on UN Community Volunteers.

UN Community Volunteers are expected to be recruited locally and work within their community, they are therefore not expected to travel to the duty station and are not eligible for a settling in grant. In addition, UN Community Volunteers should not require reintegration back into their locales upon completion of their service. Therefore, there is no entitlement to a resettlement allowance.

The applicable volunteer living allowance is provided monthly to cover housing, utilities and normal cost of living expenses. Life, health and permanent disability insurance are included.

Furthermore, in non-family duty stations that belong to hardship categories D or E, as classified by the ICSC, a Well-Being Differential (WBD) will be provided monthly.
