Roles and Responsibilities:

The role of the Logistics Team Leader is to manage the Procurement, Admin & Fleet functions, and team for Irbid Office and Mafraq ensuring quality support and services to the program team

Specific responsibilities

 Responsible for the smooth running of the day-to-day Admin, Fleet & Procurement operations in the Irbid and Mafraq office including line managing the Admin, Fleet, and Service Staff and liaising with field logistics and program staff to ensure timely delivery of the requested services

 Ensure local procurement conducted complies with NRC and donor procurement policies & procedures  Source appropriate suppliers in the local market for the procurement of goods and/or services based on specifications by the program or support staff  Conduct regular market surveys and support supplier pre-qualification for commonly purchased goods and services, maintaining an up-to-date supplier database with key supplier information.  Establish and maintain good professional working relationships with suppliers, service providers, and contractors whilst strictly adhering to NRC anti-corruption guidelines and NRC's Code of Conduct.  Work with the Logistics Coordinator to optimize safety and cost-effectiveness across the Mafraq and Irbid Office fleet.

 Supervise and Manage Irbid and Mafraq Administrative tasks in the management of NRC premises, building maintenance, and any government-related business.  Ensuring that Drivers carry out the Daily/Weekly vehicle checks and share the necessary information with the Logistics Coordinator

 Propose discuss agree and implement new methods and approaches to improve the cost-effectiveness and value for money NRC receives from its fleet activities.  Ensure the Update of all the periodic Procurement & Fleet reports.  Develop and implement a capacity-building plan to train and develop Admin and Fleet Staff.

Generic responsibilities

 Management of project staff  Implement a plan of action for a delegated portfolio of support function projects (activities, budget, and project documentation).  Day-to-day follow of progress in project implementation.  Ensure adherence and compliance with NRC policies, support function tools, handbooks, and guidelines.  Ensure that projects target beneficiaries most in need, and explore and asses new and better ways to assist.  Promote and share ideas for technical improvement.  Prepare periodic progress reports and other documents.  Ensure capacity building of project staff and transfer of key skills.  Liaison and collaborate with relevant local authorities and stakeholders.  Promote the rights of internally displaced/returnees In line with the advocacy strategy.  Actively promote PSEA (Prevention of Sexual Exploitation and Abuse) standards & principles within NRC and amongst beneficiaries served by NRC.
