Result of Service The Italian Language Courses will reinforce oral and written skills in the Mission Area Language for UNGSC international staff members.

Expected duration The duration of each Italian language course will be of 15 weeks, to be distributed as follows: 2 lessons per week, 1 hour per lesson, for a total time of 30 hours per language course. The delivery and design of each language course will be for a maximum of 40 hours, including: - 30-hour class activity, as mentioned above - 1 hour for the Syllabus - 9 hours for the course preparation, chat with students, and the correction of the tests.

Duties and Responsibilities The United Nations Global Service Centre (UNGSC) provides critical Supply Chain, Geospatial, Information and Telecommunications Technologies services and Training to all peacekeeping and special political missions around the world as well as to other UN Offices, Agencies Funds and Programs.

The CLC will seek the service of language teacher (native speaker, or at the native speaker's level of language taught) who will deliver Italian language courses at Beginner and Intermediate level, for UNGSC Staff Members and other entitled participants. All the courses will be delivered through a virtual platform.

The Individual Contractor will be responsible for the design of two 30 hour Italian language courses at different levels (Beginner and Intermediate); to prepare and provide students with supporting learning material; to deliver two Italian language courses to UNGSC Staff Members and other entitled participants through the on-line methodology; to continuously assess whether the course is meeting the objectives through evaluation activities, and adjust the course material and the delivery methods accordingly.

Qualifications/special skills EDUCATION: University degree is required. A High School Diploma in combination with a teaching certificate may be accepted in lieu of a University Degree. WORK EXPERIENCE: A minimum of two years of working experience in teaching the Italian language as a foreign language is required. Experience in working with e-learning systems is required.

Languages Fluency in oral and written Italian is required. Be a native speaker is required.
