Purpose and Objective of the Internship:

HR/people analytics has gained increasing attentions from industries and a lot of organizations are applying advanced data analytics methodologies in the HR context. Within the UNICEF New York HQ Division of Human Resources (DHR), the HR Analytics team of the Analytics and Operations (A&O) is responsible for strategic planning and reporting and provides leadership in the analysis and interpretation of HR data to drive business impact and data-driven decision-making processes. The HR Analytics team strengthens systems and performs quality assurance activities to ensure accurate, timely, and consistent information across systems. It regularly publishes a series of reports with updated data and analysis from various platforms, including the interactive OneHR Dashboard, which provides offices with easy access to reliable and timely information on workforce, recruitment and other data and analysis to meet the needs of stakeholders at all levels. As the focal point, the Team supports requests for HR data across the organization, UN agencies, and other entities. Demands to provide strategic and advisory technical support continue to increase both in quantity as well as in quality and complexity. Therefore, deeper use of statistics and machine learning techniques to provide more in-depth analysis to address business challenges is a must.

  • Support the DHR Analytics team in the continuous improvement of data integrity.
  • Advise on ad-hoc queries.
