You have:
- Be enrolled in, or have completed, a graduate school programme (second university degree or equivalent, or higher); or be enrolled in the final academic year of a first university degree programme (minimum bachelor’s degree or equivalent).
- Good knowledge of MS Word, MS PowerPoint, and MS Teams is required.
- Ability to design surveys and polls is desirable.
- Fluency in English and Indonesian is required. Knowledge of an additional official UN language is an advantage.

Duties and Responsibilities
In Indonesia, the United Nations (UN) has a long-standing partnership with the government, private sector, civil society, and youth to advance progress toward advancing the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs). At the core of the UN in Indonesia's work is the United Nations Cooperation Framework (UNSDCF)—the key strategic document guiding collaboration between the UN, the host government, and other partners. The Cooperation Framework outlines shared priorities and responsibilities, ensuring that the UN’s support complements national development plans and global goals. The United Nations Resident Coordinator Office (RCO) acts as the central hub for various UN agencies, funds, and programs within the country. Led by the Resident Coordinator (RC), the highest-ranking UN official in the country, the RCO ensures that the UN's efforts are aligned with national priorities and the SDGs. The UNRCO has five core functions: 1. Strategic Planning 2. Economics 3. Partnerships and development finance 4. Data and results management and reporting, and 5. Communications and advocacy. The Partnership Support Intern will work closely with the Partnership Officer to assist in events preparation, organization, research, documentation, communication, and coordination activities that support the RCO’s partnership-building efforts in Indonesia. The intern will specifically contribute to the ongoing Disability Inclusion workplan, the meetings of the Indonesia UN Consultative Forum, the preparation of the Bappenas UN Forum and works related to the Ministry of Foreign Affairs. Specific tasks include: • Facilitating inter-agency coordination efforts and stakeholder engagement activities • Supporting conceptualization and drafting documents (e.g., Terms of References, concept notes, etc.) of partnership events, trainings, and workshops • Support on the preparation of briefs, minutes of meetings, and background notes on partnership-related topics • Actively participating in efforts to support the Disability Inclusion Workplan and reporting. • Attending on-site/online meetings and discussions with partners from wide-ranging agencies and fields • Conceptualizing and designing eye-catching presentations, infographics, and deliverables • Managing and updating partnership databases and contact lists • Supporting data collection, management, research and analysis to inform background notes and partnership-related documentation. • Supporting event planning, logistics, and coordination to support the RCO’s core functions and the UN Country Team.
Qualifications/special skills
Applicants must meet one of the following requirements: a) be enrolled in, or have completed, a graduate school programme (second university degree or equivalent, or higher); b) be enrolled in, or have completed, the final academic year of a first university degree programme (minimum bachelor’s degree or equivalent). Applicants to the UN Internship Programme are not required to have professional work. experience. However, a field of study that is closely related to the type of internship that you are applying for is required Applicants must be a student in the final year of the first university degree (bachelor or equivalent), Master’s or Ph.D. Programme or equivalent, or have completed a Bachelor’s, Master’s or PH.D. Languages
Fluency in English and Indonesian is required. Knowledge of an additional official UN language is an advantage. Arabic, Chinese, English, French, Russian and Spanish are the official languages of the United Nations Secretariat.
