How can you make a difference?

  • Conduct the documentary review on gender and inclusion in immunization and primary health care to assess the status of gender and inclusion, identify key determinants
  • Develop a gender and inclusion action plan for immunization and primary health care
  • Define the gender and inclusion strategic axes for vaccination and primary health care to be taken into account in the national strategic documents relating to vaccination
  • Build the capacity of colleagues in the health and nutrition section and the government counterpart on the notion of gender and inclusion in vaccination, health and nutrition
  • Advance the gender and inclusion agenda.

To qualify as an advocate for every child you will have…

  • An advanced university degree (Master’s or higher) in in Women Studies, Gender, Social Science, Special Needs Health or related field focus on gender issues *A first University Degree in a relevant field combined with 2 additional years of professional experience may be accepted in lieu of an Advanced University Degree.
  • A minimum of 5 years of relevant professional experience at the national or international level in the areas of Gender mainstreaming and women and girls’ empowerment, ideally within the education context.

  • Formal training in gender analysis and inclusion, gender and inclusion planning.

  • Experience in design, monitoring and evaluation of gender and inclusion mainstreaming projects in the humanitarian and development contexts.
  • Experience in coordination, networking and negotiation with government counterparts.
  • Previous work experience on equity in health is an added advantage
  • Thorough understanding of the gender and inclusion context in Central African Republic and experience working with government institutions and international or non-governmental organizations supporting gender and development work in the specific area of intervention.
  • Familiarity with gender and Inclusion analysis tools and methodologies in the specific area of intervention.
  • Strong communication skills are required, and ability to liaise with various stakeholders.
  • Experience of working in an emergency context

  • Fluency in French and English is required. Knowledge of another official UN language (Arabic, Chinese, Russian or Spanish) or a local language is an asset.
