How can you make a difference?

You are accountable for leading and managing a team of HR professionals in the complex operating environment and emergency context of Sudan to provide strategic, effective and risk informed HR support and services to enhance the capacity of the clients to deliver on the business goals and objectives. In doing so, you demonstrate the ability to create an environment in which the staff anticipate HR-related needs and develop subsequent plans and solutions that align HR management with business objectives. In addition, this position serves as a key strategic advisor to the leadership of UNICEF Sudan in helping to spearhead UNICEF’s global HR transformation.

To qualify as an advocate for every child you will have the below requirement:

    1. Education****:
  • An advanced university degree in human resource management, business management, international relations, psychology or another related field is required.
    1. Work Experience:
  • Ten years of increasingly responsible professional experience in human resource management in an international organization and/or large corporation is required.
    1. Language Proficiency:
  • Fluency in English is required. Knowledge of Arabic is anasset.

The successful candidate for this emergency recruitment MUST be available to commence work within 31 days of receiving an offer.

UNICEF appointments are subject to medical clearance. Issuance of a visa by the host country of the duty station, which will be facilitated by UNICEF, is required for IP positions. Appointments may also be subject to inoculation (vaccination) requirements, including against SARS-CoV-2 (Covid). Government employees that are considered for employment with UNICEF are normally required to resign from their government before taking up an assignment with UNICEF. UNICEF reserves the right to withdraw an offer of appointment, without compensation, if a visa or medical clearance is not obtained, or necessary inoculation requirements are not met, within a reasonable period for any reason.
