You have:
- Completion of an advanced university degree in Human Resources or related field
- Minimum of four years of relevant, professional work experience

The Human Resources Officer, Pension leverages strong quantitative skills to analyze the Fund’s pension program, conducting analyses related to the full pension valuation cycle and associated pension costs. Key activities include conducting pension computations, supporting analysis of pension investment strategies, and identifying opportunities to enhance the pension program.
Major Duties and Responsibilities
- Designs, reviews, and implements pension programs and policies. Develops initial draft of Board papers and associated communications to staff members.
- Conducts pension computations and scenario analysis based on staff member preferences. Coordinates with HR Operations to ensure appropriate data transfers.
- Assesses the Fund’s pension policies and programs to ensure that they continue to meet evolving needs and support the broader HR strategy and business objectives. Recommends program changes as needed.
- Point of contact for the HR Service Center staff and team members in answering complex pension questions requiring further guidance from the COE.
- Supports Investment Unit in researching pension investment strategies, conducting present values analyses and other assessments. Prepares all documentation for Administration Committee.
- Conducts financial and accounting calculations of pension plans, identifying pension budgetary impacts and critically assessing plan design to ensure continued alignment with Fund needs.
- Assists in developing analyses related to the full pension valuation cycle as well as special projects, leveraging technical knowledge of both qualified and non-qualified pension plans and post-retirement medical plans. Evaluates future benefit values and recommends program changes as needed.
- Stays abreast of relevant legal requirements and changes involving pension programs, ensuring that both qualified and non-qualified Fund programs are compliant. Liaises with LEG as needed.
- Leverages broad total rewards knowledge to assist with Compensation & Rewards and Benefits activities as needed.

Minimum Requirements
Educational development, typically acquired by the completion of an advanced university degree in Human Resources or related field, supplemented by a minimum of four years of relevant, professional work experience, is required. Alternatively, a university degree and ten years of professional HR experience is required.

*This is a one-year contractual appointment. Contractual appointments at the IMF are renewable for up to four years of cumulative contractual service, pending incumbent's performance, budget availability, and continuous business need.
